I'll give you $1000 right now if you want to end the auction early.

I have been watching that auction, I am serious about what I posted above (I know it is sometimes hard to tell when I am joking and when I am not).

If that amount isn't good for you, I'll just put it in as my max bid and wait to see what happens. Thanks.

That would go nicely with my s2 trans....

So, how much stuff can I part off my 944 so that i can put the engine in it and it still drives? Maybe rear seats, carpeting, you know, typical stuff. maybe sell 3 lug nuts off each wheel?

Well it has pretty high mileage (160k) and has a cracked clutch bellhousing, and a chip in the valve cover. It's been in an accident, so who knows if anything else got mangled... Probably contributes to the low price.

i guess i could see the accident, and maybe the crack in the bellhousing, but i'd think the chip in the valve cover could just be machined out pretty easily. i wouldn't have thought that'd effect the value so much

still, $1000 or less for the block and head is a f--king great deal.

That price is really low. If this were 1Q next year it would be in the garage.

Yeah it will sell for a good bit. At $1000 you could buy it for the head and sell the crank or vice versa, and all those other parts would be worth a lot too. I think there are some tuners and used parts guys who cruise ebay so I would expect it to sellf or $1500 or more.
