On the stock manifold I beleive that you torque the bolts to 20 Nm or 14 ft. lbs. No clue for the Lindsey, but if it is the same those should be the correct numbers.

I just go by feel usually. I'm thinking they go to 15ft lbs. That's about what all the other M8 sized bolts go to on the rest of the engine.

With Andy's experience, I would go by what he says. Definetely a guy that knows his 944s. Also, this is just 1 ft. lb. over the stock recommendation, which adds just a little more strength, but not too much as to damage anything.

Thanks guys, now I will get this thing on today. I did contact Lindsey since there was no torq spec with the intake. He said they just go by feel. I work in the aircraft industry and everything has an exact torq applied so I just feel better asking first since one reply I got from someone here in town was 40 foot lbs. That is a big jump from 14 to 15. Thanks again everyone.

torque specs usually take into account the size of the bolts and the materials used. the guy in town was probably thinking of specs from iron headed engines. our aluminum heads are more likely to strip if too much torque is used
