Default Finally painted the lights! (UPDATED: PICS ON P.5)

Well, I finally got around to it and painted my taillights with Testors translucent candy apple. I did the outside reflector on the back and (using the outline of a cup) left an oval shape where the backup light is. I didn't like the idea of having red backup lights. While I was there, I painted the front side reflectors red. I also got a translucent black tint paint and used that on the front turn signal - so it's a few shades darker. It looks much better with the Ruby Red paint. I'll try to post pics this weekend when I can use my brother's camera.

Thanks to KenC for the reverse light idea - I modified it a little, but love it! ( I didn't like the idea of red backup lights)

PICS ARE ON PAGE 5

Cool, I've been considering doing my rear turn signals. How many coats of paint did you put on the rear lenses?

I did 3 coats on the rears (making sure to hit the backup lights with a 4th so they weren't pink)

I hit the front side reflectors with 1 good coat just to get the reddish color to them

I hit the font turn signals with a decent coat of black just to darken them up a bit. When the light is on, you can't even tell a difference.

Do you have any pictures? I'm thinking of painting my taillights red too. Where did you get the paint?

I painted mine with Testors candy apple red translucent paint, available in the model car section of WalMart for $3/can.

I got the paint from Hobby Lobby in the model section. The tint paint was from the same. I just thought the orange on the ruby red paint didn't look right, so I had to do something about it. I'm going to try to post pics tonight/tomorrow.
I just subscribed, and I need to figure out how to upload pics without using another site to post pics to and then link them into here.

I hate not having a digital camera - but then I think how good that exhaust sounds, and I realize I made the right choice...Ahhhhhh, the soothing rumble of a 944...
I'll have them up by Monday - I promise!
