Default liquid in vaccume tube?

im installing the new vaccume lines found in a kit (from lindsey i belive). one of the lines goes from the [ Fuel Purge Valve -> Throttle Body ]. Note that i skipped the sensor that the old tubes normally attach to.

while looking at the nipple for the tube, I noticed a brownish liquid (fuel or oil or something, and its the same stuff on the inside bottom of the throttle body), and Ild like to know if this is normal??

thanx for assistance,
-john

Not unusual, but I guess it technically isn't "normal" either. The air-oil separator isn't separating the oil out fully would be my guess. Then again, 951 induction system components frequently are known to have a thin sheen of oil on them. It's a turbo car, after all.

and OIL CAN!
it has a tube from the top of the oil separator that goes in the top of the can. the oil vapors run through a filter and fall to bottom of the can while a tube on the side goes to wherever it would go from the separator.

ridding all oil from inside your system!

That is nothing compared to the amount of crud I've seen in the past. On an NA engine the most common source is bad Oil Filler/Mist Seperator O-Rings. Turbos can have the same problem as NAs with an additional source of oil leaking from the turbo.

I would just clean the trottle body and then put every thing back together.

I've got the same one. It's from accurate machine works, accmachtech.com. Great looking unit and machined nicely. Even the bracket and hose inlets are machined and anodized. There are cheaper alternatives but I am very pleased with mine, for now will install on firewall btwn headers and (deleted) cruise control servo motor. Once I get a MAF it will fit great on the cross member that the hood latch resides on.
