I got thinking again tonight about doing the wolf (pushed in front bumper) mod. I could not find any pics of this done with the bumper pads in place though. Does anyone have any?

Why would anyone want to do this?

I want to try using turbo shocks instead of the N/A shocks since they are shorter. I'm not sure if they will mount up right, but if they do, you'll have a snubnose, but still have bumper shocks.

No offense to XSBOOBS (besides he got smart and got a front euro bumper anyway
), but I HATE that stupid pushed in bumper look. It lookes like the car ran into something and someone didn't care to spend the money to fix it properly. Plus, the now-large gaps at the ends of the bumper near the intersection of the fender and valance, do not look right. And forget about removing the bumper pads, because the front bumper then appears to be too square. All MHO of course.
PS: It's called the "Wolf-mod" because it was named after the original rennlist member (or I really think it was a Pelican Member, but my memory is clogged with malted hops and bong resin) who came up with the idea and did a tutorial write up on it.

I agree, it looks like you rearended someone and never fixed it. You notice people with this mod have to avoid taking pictures of the car at an angle that really shows the big gaps up front?

the pushed in bumper was one of the first things i did when i bought the 944. At the time i thought it was really cool because it made it look more "euro" and when i shaved the rear bumperettes all together i "earl shived" my bumperettes to make them blend in better as the rear had NONE. After i saw the euro bumper, i started to dislike my pushed in bumper-which i could care less if it had 5mph bumpers because if i hit anything its gonna be alot faster than that!- and now i actually like the stock 944 bumper w/ the outward stance and black bumperettes, but the euro is still my favorite. And i shaved the bumperettes on that too!
