It’s a very rare 968 Turbo S. For those of you that don’t know about this car, it’s one of 14+1 (one prototype) ever made.

The engine is an 8-valve (SOHC!) in-line four without vario-ram.
KKK Turbo Charger with 1 bar boost is fitted.
This gives the car 305hp@5400rpm and 369 lb-fit@3000rpm.

I hope a rennlister buys it

Wow, were they all SOHC? What's different between this and a 951 engine? Just the variocam and larger displacement?

So... take 2.5L and add 20% displacement is 247bhp X 1.20 = 296.4bhp, doesn't seem like you'd need much more boost to get 305bhp. Does the 968 TurboS really use 1.0-bar of boost? Seems like at that boost-level, it'd be making more power, like the 337bhp 968 TurboRS...

Danno, yes I believe it is a 1.0BAR setup. Who knows what they really make, it isnt like there are a lot of them to dyno

Chris, there are a few 968 TRSs here in the US, one belonging to a lister even. For the money (about 100K) you could dupe it pretty nicely. Raj Datta has an absolutely spectacular clone.

One thing not considered is compression. Is it the same as the 951?

The 968 turbo s has the k26/8, yes?

I think the 305hp was a very conservative factory number.

Those cars made torque by the boatload.

Wow, thats an awsome car. If i ahd the money it would be definetly worth it. That car is what all the knowledge gained in our cars was used to create the ultimate 968. Its to bad it never went into real production. I think i know what the probelms where though. I herd it would ahve cost close to the price of a 911 and also been just as fast at a 911 turbo of the time and the 911T was the flagship so they could not really build anything that was faster and maybe cheaper then the turbo but i could be wrong.
