Haynes is wrong on spark plug gap- a fundemental tool.

Haynes at best is a reference. stop trying to bastardize copywright laws- and let others spend the 14$ to have a barely useful manual. I appreciate the offer for others- but really- let them buy it. I have purchased 2 and both are marginal at best.

I cant wait for the Bentley manuals.

Thanks for the offer, but the haynes manual is nearly worthless. You can buy scans of the official porsche manual on ebay.

Last I heard, Bentley was doing schematics of 944's in March- I'd expect a viable paper manual next year.

Have you guys seen these CD-Roms of the Porsche Mechanic's manual? The 2nd disk is the PET catalog.

http://www.porschepubs.com/944.htm

Not sure if this is worth it--definitely better than Haynes for sure. Curious if anybody has purchased this?

Thanks--Chase

That is the porsche manual which costs like 600 bucks. 60 bucks though? What a rip. I should start selling it on ebay for like 10 bucks.

People were selling the full manual on CD for about 10 bucks a couple years ago...those auctions quickly stopped.

If you look hard ( or PM someone..) the 944 manuals and PET are onliine, some of us have them at our disposal.

no harm no foul, we appreciate your efforts.

The Haynes isnt dog crap, just incomplete and sometimes incorrect. Pay attention to the boards- there is better info at Rennlist.

Thanks for the offer man! Sorry if it came out wrong. You dont need to "repay" us. Your company on this board is enough.
