You can get a Coverlay plastic dash cap to cover the cracks, etc for less than $100. Sorry no link, do a search for more info..

the coverlay you can't tell is there unless you GET CLOSE...unless you're looking for it, you can't really tell... once you realize it's there, though, you'll think it looks OK, but not perfect...

but worth the money IMHO...absolutely.

I had a coverlay. The Florida sun warped it. I just want a carpet top until I can find a complete dash. Plus, The defroser holes did not line up very well. Made a strange noise......
