Default Radio Antenna Problems. (help)

I am in need of help with replacing the antenna. I have the antenna mounted in the fender, but I can't seem to get the wire through the car. I mean that I can't get the wire from the old antenna out of the car so I can put the new wire in. I am replacing the factory manual antenna with another manual antenna. Can someone please help me. It is for the 87 924S.

Well....guess your gonna have to buy a new car!! J/k

Do you mean the actual mast on the fender or the wire for the antenna running through the interior? If it's the wire, you should just fish it through. I'm not sure though...I have a windshield antenna. Consider this a bump for ya!!

Actually when my antenna crapped out, I replaced it with a fuba-type ( like on a 968) from rennbay mounted on the roof behind the sunroof.....as for the hole where the old one was.....bought a late mod. fender from a guards red parts car....no hole!

The fuba-type works much better than my old one as well........

I finally got it installed. It works great I get every radio station. I finally got the wire through the hole. It was blocked with some gunk. Thanks again.

That gunk may have been some sealing mastic.
The wire itself is normally running through a weird shaped grommet that is cut open to allow it to be wrapped around the lead. The plug size prevents the use of normal grommets.
It is the intention to have this "cut" facing downwards to minimise the chance of water ingress in the body. The mastic is used to provide the final seal.
