You don't have to be goign fast, it wasn't like i was on a huge hill, it was just a slight decline.

Anyway, I need an early AC compressor if anyone has one.. compressor can be shot, as long as the mounts are there and the pulley spins fine. ( i need the early one, yes, I have the early engine).

About push starting. Once I left a fan running on my 944 during a ferry run in Washington State. Of course I was near the front of the boat, so pretty much everyone was behind me. Luckily I knew it was dead before we docked and told the crew. They directed cars around me until there was room, they pushed, I popped the clutch and away I went with my tail between my legs.

Yeah...recently I had to replace the starter, well, 2 girls and I were in the mood to go get some coffee and Ice cream, so we went out...I turn the key, and I hear "GRIND!" Yeah...no start..so the 3 of us pushed it out of the space, then push started it again. after we get the coffee and Ice cream, we're heading back, and same thing. got some help this time and got it runnin quickly...

but people jump ALL over a broken-down Porsche...it sucks

Of course I hope not to make habit of this.. but which is easier on the car/easier to get the car started?
They call it bump starting on bikes because you bump the seat with your *** (drop onto it) at the same time you drop the clutch. That loads up the real wheel so you get lots of traction. You can do it side saddle if you're good or jump onto the pegs once you're rolling.
