Default New purchase

Well...After searching for the right car for me for over a year.. I finally found it.
Exactly the right color combo, miles and wheels I was looking for

The Good:
86 851
Rediculous low purchase price from an off the beaten path country dealer
98000 miles
Black/linen
Better than average condition .
turbo functions good
Ansa Exhaust set up.
Belts/pump done already
New tires

The Bad:
Oil vapor in the air box. Its not puddling in there. Its just moist. Could use help where to start. I read something about "o" rings under the intake?? Only leak I can see is up and back above the oil filter under the valve cover.
needs brakes
seats, which Im working on finding some replacements for. If anyone has any that are near new. Ill make an offer.
no stereo system
vibration between 65 and 70 mph. And a strange noise when turning left??
Steady flow of air in the cabin thats a hint of exhaust? I checked the white clip under the dash. Its still there. I think the mix is off though.

Parts I need if anyone happens to have them...
Seats (have a few prospects already)
Complete Air box
Windsheild washer jets

Looks like a great car! Nice deep dish phone dials, and great interior color combo! Put a little TLC into it, and you got a killer turbo!

Good luck!

Congratulations! Looks nice and lots of potential! I really like the 951 phone dials with their larger diameter and more dish (compared to my car). I would echo what others have said about the interior color combination - very nice!

Thanks for all the kind comments. I think its a great base to make a perfect 951 with a little inside work. Ive looked for a while for that color combo that wasnt WAY out of price range. I just got lucky.

I had the exact same thought.

I think the oil in the airbox is a fairly common 951 thing.
I'll put in a plug for Corbeau seats. I have the TRS model. Much better than the stock seats.
