The jump to 17's will be a whole lot more strain on the wallet. I would go with the 7's & 8's x 16 rims personally. On the street they won't be as pounding! If you are going to be on the track, then that is a whole other story. Go as big as you can and carry that speed through that turn better. Best wishes - Jay Gratton

This is more a matter of personal preferrence than anything given that you only use the car on the street, but living in metro NYC (I notice that you're in yonkers), I'd say that 16s are probably a better choice. With an NA, it's also a plus that 16s will be lighter than many 17" alternatives, particularly repros.

When I think of fuchs I associate them with the early 911's.
When I think of phone dials I think of the later 944's and when I think of cookie cutters, I'm not sure what I think of Why 17" rims though? If you want light rims, don't want to fork out money for volks then go with 15" cookies, I can lift em with one hand with the tire on and not even grunt. Those phone dials make my butt pucker when changin em

p.s luxor chrome spoke + german sports car = big fashion faux-pas!

The problem with 17" wheels is that the tyre selection sucks! I'd go for the following:

18x12" - 295/30-18
18x10" - 255/35-18
