do you gah-ron-tee? (vague simpsons reference, sorry).
what black parts?
i've got.....wheel centers.....the little rubber rims on the mirrors.....and......tires? but i have tire shine for tires.
i did vasoline once before on the wheels. i think on friday i'm getting it washed, then putting it up on jackstands and pulling all the wheels off so i can go ultra-retardo on cleaning the wheels.
i was pretty happy with it when i did it that one time, but i use the car too much to do it more than once every couple of months, every other time i just take it to the local hand-wash place.....
edit- here's before
and after

Tire shine! ugh!!! Juan, you have much to learn young grasshopper...
Vasoline on the black centers of the wheels... that's it. use a protectant on the tires, and rubber bits... NOTHING ELSE. ARMOR ALL BLOWS... granted, the tires look nice when they're that "wet" looking, BUT, that stuff turns em brown in a week, isn't the greatest for tire longevity, and throws that stuff all over your paint. put some 303 Aerospace on there, and it'll be nice... it won't look as shiney, but it will protect em, keep em black, and not be on your paint the second you move... once the 303 is dry, it's dry.
The second pic, your wheels look awesome... I'm guessing that's post-vasoline. that's exactly what I was talking about. good work!

Yeah, it's at detail stores. you can't get it at Autozone. it's true that no tire shine will damage tires, but most are strictly for aesthetic use, few are protecting them... most damage them more... as in if they have Silicone in them... 303 doesn't. it's water based. works for EVERYTHING. I use it on dashboards, vinyl seats, rubber bits, absolutely everything. it's amazing.
Also, make sure you do NOT use anything with silicone on your dash. that'll crack it if you don't apply it weekly.

Except one, it's not photoshoped. I resize my pics and sometimes I modify the sharpness.
I did those pics in TV (Time Value) mode (I use a Leica 75-200mm f4.5 for the exterior pics. This lens is great.). My camera is a Canon 350D.
Ludo.
EDIT: Canon 350D in the US is called Canon Rebel XT.
