when i bought my rennbay seat cover kits, i bought 3 "yards" extra material to redo my dash until i saw the post from the 928 board. i think it would be hard to get the vinyl into the recesses and then theres the fact of it staying there. and even though the vinyl is good stuff and really close to the rest of the interior, it doesnt match exactly.....so for 2 different ways to do something(painted vs. recovering) that are guarunteed to not look perfectly original, im choosing what i think is the best way out. if anyone else decides to get extra vinyl from rennbay, dont keep it folded how they have it in the box. take it and roll it out flat and then roll it up, it should get the rest of the creases out, and prevent it from melting together like mine did.

I have'nt done the dash, but as part of my ICE project I've been re-trimming, the doors and door pockets in OEM linen and black trim.

Its quite easy.

the hardest bit, will be
1) taking out the dashboard to trim it !
2) leaving in situ, will be a BEEEYATCH !

or replace the dash unit
or get a dash cover from a supplier ( quite a few stateside)

I am planning to take a shot at recovering my dash. It had just a few cracks when I got it, but about 2 weeks after I bought it, a canyon opened up in the middle of the dash, about 1/4" wide, right over the middle vents =(

I would really like to hear from some people who have recovered their dashes.
I think Vinyl or Leather would be the way to go, I would probably go the Vinyl route, providing the price is right.
