Yes, it's the wife's fault (really).
TWO seperate attempts by AAA to pop open a door have failed; keys are still in the ignition and a spare set is non-existant (fortunately the car is not running). Any thoughts on how to get the damn door open without busting a window or having to spend $300 to have a locksmith come out?

You know I actually tried that and they won't unscrew (I was thinking there's a nut on the back that needs to be held to keep it from spinning around and around). I'll try again though.
Then again, there's always that brick.

They said it's AAA reimbursable - but it might take a "few months". Figures.
I'm so sorely tempted to just chuck a brick through one of the windows. I'd be so gratifying given all the hell I've gone through (and continue to go through - now it doesn't idle properly) with this g-damn car. It'd seriously make me feel better, but I won't. I'll be patient.

Been there twice... The first time a friend of mine (he's a locksmith!) opened it trough the lock (pass side), the second time my dad was able to open it with a hanger (also pass side!) Good luck!

I'm gonna try the hanger thing - it's difficult because the lock buttons are almost perfect cylinders (nothing to grab onto) but what the hell. I tried the license plate light thing again - no go.
I suppose I should be happy about how hard it is for trained guys to get in; then again, if someone REALLY wanted in, they'd just bust a window I suppose. . .

Well there's a couple of little things I could certainly use you for - like helping diagnose my lack of boost for one (assuming I ever get inside the car again). I'm pretty sure the idle problem is fixable and somehow related to the throttle screw getting blown off the top of the intake last week (ordered a new one from Circle, hopefully it'll be in tomorrow). It's just buggin' me. I want nothing more than to give this poor neglected 951 the love and attention it needs and it refuses to accept it, just frustrating the hell out of me at every turn. This thing has been SUCH a disappointment thus far. . .
At least I have it running and drive-able without blowing alternator belts. Unfortunately in the course of replacing the a/c compressor clutch and pulley assembly (last week's annoyance) the front seal on the compressor evidently got mis-aligned or something - psssshhhht. Bye bye refrigerant. I don't really feel TOO terribly about it; one of the guys at Paragon says those seals are so delicate that if you even look at them wrong they'll leak. C'est la vie. I have a spare Nippondenso that I can transfer the clutch / pulley I just bought onto, bolt it up and get it charged up and SHOULD (in theory at least) have a working car with working a/c. Here's the kicker - a new compressor front seal (it's a freakin' SEAL for God's sakes) - $200. Paragon could get it for $180. Keep in mind a new Sanden compressor can be had for a little over $300. Just keeps gettin' better. . .
And still no boost. That's this week's annoyance (check wastegate, check cat & pipe for cloggage / collapse). Working on exhaust systems. Wheeee! What fun.
