Default I just got squished by an SUV; reccomendations for bodyshop in pittsburgh

I didn't even make it 50 feet out of my garage tonight. I was stopped behind an SUV at the first light, and he backed up into me. Just a big scrape, but I don't know any bodyshops in Pittsburgh, can anyone make a recommendation?

This is the second time in ~6 months. Maybe I should start getting used to this.

There was a bus coming from the left, making a right turn, I guess he thought he was in the way. The guy was decent, I think he knew it was a dumb thing to do, but he was decent about it and apologized.

Sorry about the news Kevin.
I know of a shop in the South Hills that works on high-end cars. Not sure if you want to travel ~15 miles south of the city though. Trying to find a # now.

Time to install airhorns. They might not hear the normal horn...but they WONT miss an airhorn!

Kurt, I would not mind traveling to get it done right at all. If you could get me a number or even a name I'd like to head over there tomorrow to get an estimate and get the ball rolling.

84black944, in NY an insurance company can't raise your rates unless they pay out. As far as I'm concerned my insurance co isn't even going to hear about this.

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone. It's not such a big deal, just a pain in the *** and a bummer.

Kevin,

There is Kerr Auto Body in Castle Shannon--they have done some P-cars and Benzes in the past. There is also another shop--name I can't recall--which is located off RT 19 South--heading towards Washington make a left at the light right past Ali Baba(near the Pella windows store) at the bottom of the ramp, make a right and go back under RT 19--stay on that road, when you go under this little overpass in this small town--there is a body shop on your right--I always see high-end cars there--928, Lotus Esprit, BMW's--you can't miss it, it is only a few miles from 19. Good luck.

Typical SUV behavior, he probably couldn't see you out the back window because the stupid things are so high. But I bet he's a really good off-road driver!

So would a boot to the head. I swear to God; one of those should be issued standard to every SUV-driving moron. . . Glad you're okay and hopefully the car will soon be back better than ever.

*grumble* *grumble* stupid-*** SUVs *grumble* *grumble*

I'll leave it at that - haven't had the coffee yet. . .

Thanks everyone. I'm going to swing by Kerr right now, a guy on the M3 forum recommended them as well.

The damage really isn't that bad, the front driver's side fender is scraped up and dented, other than that not a big deal. Just one less panel with the original paint.
