Rochester AutoX Today *Video*
Damnit, I had this whole thread typed out and closed the window by accident... anyway.
Today I went to my second AutoX (ever) and felt pretty good just having the car back together. I definitely have plenty of room to improve, but I learned a lot and most importantly had a lot of fun. In the first run I smack two cones and ran a 60.8 (if I recall correctly) + 2 cones. You can see that I enjoy the oversteer/drift on the back turn and slalom oops. The second run was much cleaner and I believe I ran a 60 flat with no cones. They haven't posted the results online yet but I think my best time of the day was a 58 or so, down from 64+. There was a crazy turbo rotary fiat race car there which is the blue car (one of the few photos I got around to shooting today) Unfortunately for me, the day ended on a flatbed, as that wiring problem I thought I fixed in the "No Gauges, No Start" thread reappeared as I was leaving the event at 4:30pm. Hopefully I'll get that sorted out this week.

Crazy Rotary Turbo Fiat (Set the FTD @ 47.?)
This is how close I was to leaving when the car died:
And my final resting place for the day:

are you actually competitive in SM2 Class? I would think that without SERIOUS modification then you would no be able to win when put up against built corvettes etc. what is your competition like?

Honestly MacFreak, looking at past results for Finger Lakes Region AutoX, I seem to be the only one in SM2. Granted if someone wants to make a case of it, I should be in E-Mod. Really I'm competing against myself no matter what the class.

Yeah, thats cool, I know that in our local region SM2 is the hardest class just because of the local drivers, I would never dream of being competitive in that class. I hope you are taking full advantage of gaining some bragging rights from running and winning in SM2.
