Nope. Just a very original 1983 944 in great condition.

It's an eBay listing with 33 pics.

a. the car looks like it's in great shape, at least through my internet "viewing glasses" (a 17" multisync)
b. the guy is not a hard core 944 guy (60k t-belt change? someone is smokin de crack)
c. it has some serious electrical issues (? fog lights, etc)
d. i hope he gets what he wants out of it. he did a great job of cleaning it, at least
e. those images will go in my 944 folder for future viewing (regardelss of no scantily clad women/fraulein/filles/senoritas)

Just a car... no playboy air fresheners, either.

ah. very very nice. too bad to see that a car with low mileage such as this one cannot escape dash cracks

Wow... so that's what my car's interior looked like originally.. amazing..

Is it true (as he says) that '83 was the only year that the 944 was made with Manual steering and manual sunroof? I have an '83 with both manual steering and sunroof, but didn't realize this was relatively rare.

Aside from the dash and that nasty ding on the back, very nice car.

Gnome,

My 83' is same-same, manual-manual. Put the 86' turbo Phonedials and appropriate rubber on the car (225/245) with the early rack angle, that's manual steering. Get her over 25mph she steers like a dream and sticks like hot asphalt. Four wheel alignment reccommended...

That is a great looking car -- it looks like it has real PCA preservation class potential. I wonder if a pdr guy could take care of that ding. Even if not, it's a very easy spot repair, and just requires a respray of the panel between the tailights.
