Default How to remove A pillar?

Hey, I tried to take the A pillar out on my car. I removed the three screws and I couldnt get it out. Are there more screws behind the dash that I need to remove? Or do I just pry it up and it will come out? I didt want to break anything since that has been my history lately, so I didnt force anything. Thanks

You just need to pry it out. Start at the bottom. It may help to loosen or remove the sun visor because the top of the A-pillar piece is clamped under the roof liner and you'll need to provide some wiggle room around the liner/visor area.

If you really want to remove the A-pillar - a sawz-all will do the trick. If all you are trying to remove is the trim piece on the A-pillar, you can try the method listed above.

Hope this helps...

Like Scott said, to remove the A pillar, Sawzall, torch or grinder will work. What you're taking out is the interior trim.

Thanks for piling on, guys.

It's good to see I'm not the only demented one here.
