I used intercity lines to get my 924S back from Topeka when I had a bearing eat sh*t...they were great. it was $400.00 to get it from Topeka to Denver, it's a covered trailer, and these guys do ALL of Barret Jackson's hauling. for instance, on the trailer with my 924S, there was:
-The last Shelby Cobra made
-Mini Cooper S
-67 split window Corvette

I didn't get a good look at the other cars, but they did it right. my car had 2 covers on it, there were no dings or anything that wasn't there before, and despite the fact that it didn't run, they winched it up and treated it like it was the most expensive car on there. I was so happy...then a week later, we get a thank you card from them, and it had pics of them loading my car onto the trailer. if I ever need to have my Porsche hauled again, it's gonna be by them.

I also used Intercity with great results. They actually arrived ahead of schedule, and the driver was in frequent contact with me. They're the official transporters for the Carrera GT, so maybe you'll get lucky and see one!

Could you buy the car and leave it with a Rennlister in Oklahoma to "break-in" for you, then you drive it back?

I am using some company to get an old 1960 German truck from some farm in York Haven PA to Stockton, CA. I was quoted 995.00. The girl's number is: Tina Mills, 888.546.6683 x104. I want them to wrap it in plastic, like how a palette would be done. Don't know if they'll do that though. Truck is non-running; gotta make sure that glass arrives intact...

That was a thought- but it would have to be debugged- then licensed, titled, insured... I may have to pass on this. I'll know more today.

Thanks everyone for the offers and the insight. It reaffirms my knowledge of why Rennlist is so amazing.

Heck with that. You buy my 83', and I'll take Darth's 951 off of his hands. It's in town, so no shipping.... hehehheh.

By the way, has anyone in the SW ohio area checked out the 89 S2 that was in the paper this weekend? It's only 2k, so I'm sure it's a basket case, but it might be interesting for someone wanting a track car or something.

Nothing else good in the Sunday paper. I'm just curious about that S2 though. I wonder how bad it is.

Mine is an 83' with manual rack. Its got bilsteins, rear sway bar, 16" BBS/Mahle rims with RE-730s (225/50 F 245/45 R) a set of 15" BBS rims for spare, Kenwood excelon flip face head unit with a 10 disc changer in the rear cubby, alpine alarm with remote locks, and some other stuff that I'm sure I forgot.

Not the best time for me to upgrade at the moment though. Now if you could hold on for a few months....

Anyhow, I really don't know if I would want to get rid of her or not. I love the car. Heck, I've never even driven a 951, but that's probably for the best.

heheheh.... that's what I'm worried about.

I haven't been driving the 83' nearly as much as I should. I think I've put maybe 1k on it this year. But it would be like selling an old friend. It's the first car that I ever bought, my reward for getting a good co-op job, ect. Too many cars in the stable at the moment.

Heck, my wife wants me to keep the 83' for her, and pick up a 951 for me. Then we'd really have too many cars at the house. (current driver count- 2 current car count- 5 or 6)
