Default OH NOOOO!

I had the car runnign yesterday, went to try to get it to start today and had a few problems. It wouldn't start, re hooked up the starter and got it to start fine. but it will die immeadiately. I replaced the alternator thinking this was the problem, didn;t work, it has voltage at the fuel injectors and at the coil, I have tried changing the DME relay. I have cleaned all the grounds, I have opened up the fuel rail at the end and then started the car, it is spraying out fuel. THinking maybe I have a sensor problem maybe the speed sensor, how do I check that with a voltometer? Oh I am getting spark also, but it just starts then immeadiately dies... I have been working on it all day to no avail!

Does it always start up when you turn it over?

already checked the AFM< and swapped AFMs
It always starts up when I turn it over

Could not having the sensors gapped correctly cause them to be eaten up by the flywheel when I tried to start the car?

If they were high you would not get spark and I think you would have heard them if they were grinding, Did you have the sensor mounting block off of the bellhousing?

didn't take the mounting block off, just read more, so that cannot be it, I went and tried to check the speed sensor, and couldn't get any reading from it at all, does this mean it is bad?

I am kinda confused about how to test it as well, i set the multimeter to 2000 ohms, and put the red and black connectors on the 1st and second connections of the female connector of the speed sensor. is this the correct way to do this?

Do you know how to check the sensors? You have to place the leads of the voltmeter on certain prongs.
You beat me to it...

That setup sounds right, so you should get 600-1600 ohms. You might want to check Clarks Garage: http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/ign-02.htm.

Sure you're on the speed sensor and not the reference sensor?

Okay, I have a question and alot of confusion....
do you use the ohm meter on the male or female part of the connect, the part connected to the sensor or to the car? because when i check the male (sensor part) i get reading on the reference sensor between the proper levels, but the speed sensor is dead, so i tried swapping it with the old one, and it doesn't get a reading either, nor does it work, with this other sensor the car doesn't at all, so do i need a new speed sensor???

You are correct in checking the sensor side. The speed and reference sensors are the same, so it sounds like you have a couple of bad ones.

What in the world?
it does the same thing that it did before when one of the sensors was bad....

Any chance you have the speed and reference sensors plugs mixed up? While the sensors are the same, the connectors on the harnes side must go to the correct sensor

Try disconnecting one fuel injector and see if will start after that.

Also, when you say you are getting spark, is that at the plugs or at the coil (or in other words, is your rotor o.k.?).
