Default touch up paint

guards red = LM3A right?

Chevy made cars with this color too didn't they?

Can I just go to a Chevy dealer's parts department and ask for a touch up bottle of "LM3A" and they'll know what I'm talking about?

In my experience, the paint pen is hard to use. I'd go for the small paint brush. And another vote for paintscratch.com.

Guards/India Red is also known as "Dale Jarrett Red". Chevy dealer might understand that terminology better.

Well, I suppose I would consider this a deep gouge....more like no paint in that area at all. This is for the bottom of the front bumper...ie no paint in a small area do to hitting a high speed bump.

Thats a great site.
They even have Kalahari for my 85

Now how much should I get for the hood ???
I'm peeling like crazy. Almost all the paint is peeled off. I don't want to take it to a shop untill all the heat issues are fixed under hood, but I can get

12.5 oz for :
29.95 basecoat
15.00 clearcoat
15.00 primer

or for 16oz
80.00 base
25.00 clear
25.00 primer

seems very reasonable

so we are talking a good chunk here, more like a scrape, not a scratch?

what you could do.. is just repaint the whole bumper..

using touch up paint on such a large area will be counter productive as it will be too large to just touch up, leaving the area uneven and really bad looking...

ashton.. the chick in your sig is cute.. but that damn animations getting annoying

is this an area visable when looking at the car? if not you may want to get a pray can from paint scratch so it will come out more even.. of course you will have to clean and sand and prep.. which might just mean might as well do the whole bumper since you have enough in a can or 2....
