hm, depends on how you do it...it is definitly involved. I would take it to a body shop if your not comfortable cutting the quarter off your car and welding a new one on. Ask macfreak007 about this...

The fact that you asked indicate that you are not familiar with body work.
Please know that welding sheet metal without getting more "waves" in it than the pacific is a craft that requires a lot of experience.
Getting everything straight is an other craft with simular intensity.
Might want to drop the car at a body shop to have it done.

basically you first straighten out the car with the busted panel on there and then you go through and drill out all the welds along the edges of the quarter and then you cut at the section on the C pillar. Do the same thing on the good panel and then you have to mess with aligning it and hoping that the car is really in fact straight and all the places it needs to mount are straight. Figure all that out and then started welding the 100's of welds you removed fill in the gap on the C pillar and some other light touch up work paint and you are done. It's a hell of a lot easier said than done and as suggested before you'd be a lot better off taking it to a shop to do.
