Default Where to get a 951/S2 Euro front end?

Hey all,
I have been looking and searching for sooo long and I cant find any of them. I need to replace my front end but I really want a Euro one. Anyone have one for sale? Anyone know a good place to get one? I know some of you US guys have euro front ends...where did you get em? Thanks

9fitty1,

I can recommend you to a good UK based breakers. (they are on the net and in 911world mag.)
and are called Porscheapart, guy there called Simon.

Have used them several times and always got good stuff from them.

I'm sure they ship to US, dont know how much.

If you get really stuck you could give them a call ?

HTH

Porscheapart? Sounds very similar to Porschapart in Toronto, Ontatio. I wonder if they are related?

You should consider just getting a US/Can spec bumper cover and then filling in the side-marker holes (like Rich Sandor did). If you do a good job, you'd never be able to tell.

It would be cheaper to do that, than trying to source a ROW front from overseas and paying shipping on it, especially with the current dollar value compared to the Euro and the BP.

PS:

I have a spare US/Can spec bumper cover, in white. It has a few small cosmetic blemishes that need to be epoxied, but overall is in good shape. Would make a great candidate to fill the side-marker holes and become a euro-look cover. PM me if you are interested, I am located in Ohio.

You will probably have to do what tifo suggests, spend a ton of money or get lucky! I got a brand new never mounted euro spec bumper from a rennlister in canada. 640 shipped to the midwest.

Yeah, I have been looking into just filling in the sidemarker but my bodyshop didnt what to do it because they said it wouldnt be strong enough. I DO NOT want to chance that and have it crack.

Derek, I was going to have my bodyshop fill the holes for the headlight washer nozzles when I was having trouble finding the caps and they refused to do it for that same reason. They said it would not last, but then again - that is their opinion as others have done it.

Take a look at this informative toturial by our own Mr. John D.

https://rennlist.com/forums/993-forum/146877-filling-bumperette-holes.html

Provided that the proper materials are used, it should hold up great. IMHO.

tifo...very interesting. But I think that the area and thickness of the sidemarker is much different than on the 993. Thanks though

If you decide to go with a fiberglass bumper from GT Racing ($495) the side markers are already filled just slightly "pushed in" so you know where to cut. It's very easy to flush these up. Here's a photo of my bumper while being buffed today.

I buy just about all of my 944 parts from porschapart near Toronto, Canada. Contact is Frank, frank@porschapart.com. Knowlegeable, friendly, efficient, lots of used 944 stuff, have not stumped him yet with a request,
Mike

MPD47- That looks real good but I am not a fan of fiberglass.
