In total I got about $300 worth of carpet, which was enough to cover the roof, the doors, the rear seat, the rear cargo area, and the rear side panels, and a little left over. I got a deal as well.

use www.xe.com to find the exchange rate. but remember that your bank will charge more.

nice job - Bravo!
Want to add insight as to the transparent roof? Is it a Saratoga or some other custom job?

Looks great. I really need 968 mirrors and door handles. Perhaps when I repaint.

Lowes has a lightweight carpet in black & grey that might suffice: it's not astro-turf either. Anyone seen it? It's on the spools in the back...thinking about using it on my 928

I tried it.... and I pretty much gave up on once I got the front section of the 924. The carpet is cheap, but not right for interior carpet. I wasn't able to match up the lines very well or form fit the carpet to the various curves.

I'd save the time and effort and purchase some better carpet to do the job with.

I've seen Rich Sandor's car up close and the carpeting job he did is FANTASTIC. I mean it looks OEM or even better.

BTW Rich, saw you speeding off ahead of me on Georgia heading east the other day. Recognized the "RS" and 968 mirrors. The 951 looks and sounds pretty good!

Your car is beautiful! Good to see you still have it. I'm waiting for the day to readd one to my garage.

You have any hi-res pictures of the exterior shots of your car? I need a Guards Red Wallpaper.
