I do hope that when you start it, you also drive it around until it gets to proper operating temps!

Just starting the car, letting it idle for 5-10 minutes and then turning it off is worse for the car than not starting it at all.

Oh, and I've never 'flooded' my car - I suggest you further investigate why the car couldn't start. Could be a bigger issue.

I can't see towing a car for either flooding or a dead battery. Either problem is easily solved without moving the car. Obviously, you'll need a pre-purchase inspection by an independant mechanic who knows these cars.

I have never heard of flooding a EFI engine.

when the o2 is cold and the intake valve sprays directly onto the plug, and your motor is cold, yes, it will flood the car if you start it, stick it in reverse, pull it out and shut it off- inlike a few seconds. You dont get your car up to temp and it doesnt burn off all the gas on the plug. If you start your car once a month and let it warm up to temp, YES, it will burn off the fuel and not flood. If you dont start the car just to move it and shut it off, youll prolly never have the problem.

burn off the gas off the plug?????

Never heard of that. Never had a problem with flooding.

I've seen wet plugs from car NOT starting, but as soon as you get that first combustion, the plug is dry!
