Matt.... I'll agree to disagree on this one. I don't want anyone all riled up over which impact is better. In the end, whatever gets the job done is what counts.

I agree, lets just agree to disagree. You will notice that no where did I say Snap-On. BTW - we have agreements with all sorts of vendors from Ingersoll to Mac to Snap-On, Cornwell, Corghi, etc. I am not recommending MAC because of corporate ties (in fact, they arent the vendor of choice). I prefer their gun, that is all. I have used just about all of them, from bulky steel case pieces of junk (otherwise known as "shop guns") to the titanium models. The plastic case MACs are the most powerful, versatile, long lasting, least broken of the bunch. At the end of the day I feel like this is the same as arguing over anything else, we will all have our opinions. No big deal.

BTW, FWIW, my company is the largest auto repair business in the US. We do tires, but service makes up the bulk. On the list of the 100 largest retailers we would be #72 with only 1500 locations. If we serviced as many customers as Wal-Mart does on a daily per store basis we would be right there with them. Too bad there arent that many stores/hours/customers per day, my bonus would be HUGE!

"The plastic case MACs are the most powerful, versatile, long lasting, least broken of the bunch. "

I don't think it's simply 'plastic'. Might be a fibre-reinforced thermoplastic, like used on gun-stocks of military rifles. Tough stuff...
