Do Rear 944 Seats Fold Down?
Do Rear 944 Seats Fold Down like they did in my 95 Camaro?
That car with the seats folded down cold hold a surprising amount of stuff....much of it bulky. There is a nice picture of a 944 hatch shot on an ebay listing, but couldn't tell from the pic if they did. So thought I'd ask!

Thanks guys!!! I needed to know because we have dogs and occasionally need to board them when we vacation. I know in my Camaro, if I broke the dog crates down flat I could get two in there stacked. The people who watch our dogs live down the street, so the hatch wouldn't even need to close, just be big enough to hold two broken down flat dog crates stacked. Sounds like a 944 will as my husbands Rex definitely will not! That is one thing the at least the Baja is good for!
Excellent smithers!

1 large dog crate will fit in the back if dissasembled, a medium will fit assembled.
Both will fit in the hatch assembled if the hatch is up. (bungee corded)
HTH.

*Without* the seats folded down I fit two 16" kids bikes (16" tires)
I have also packed beach buckets, blankets and lawn chairs for all four of us without folding down the rear seats... can't figure out these folks who think they need to sell as soon as they get kids...

Here's a picture of my yellow lab when I brought her home in my 951. Notice I even have a huge subbox in the back, so it barely fit because of it.
I ended up buying a Civic for the dogs... I can't stand dog hair in my 951 heh.

The rear hatch is perfect for napping! HAHA, i was in there once fixing my sunroof gears and noticed that with a pillow it was damn comfy! I fit great in the hatch with the seats down! (and glass closed)Im also 5' 9"! You can sleep in your car, but you cant drive your house! And people say sports cars are small.....

Yes, you can fit an amazing amount of stuff in the rear hatch of the 944/968. I've always marveled at the way some guys can pack 4 wheels w/ tires, a floor jack, spare parts, etc., at D.E.'s in their 944s. This is not the reason why I selected the 968 for my track car, which I trailer, but I still stick stuff in the rear before loading the car on the trailer.
Rage - totally beautiful lab puppy. How old is she now?
