Cool 924 SCCA Production C body kit

Anybody interested in the Production C body? I am in the process of making molds of this racecars body panels. The molds are being made from Holbert Racing body panels. I am also in the process of making 924 gt/ gts rear fenders. Right now I sell the hood scoop for the 924 gt/ gts/ gtr/ gtp ,also 944 boxed rockers, and front spoiler for the 944 Turbo. Soon I will be selling 924 gts/ gtr/ gtp fixed headlights. Other projects are in the works to.

That is quite an ambitious first post!

I second the pics request.

Are these body panels for looks only or functional? I am somewhat interested in building or buying a 924 (turbo) track car.

Not too sure most folks know what the C-Prod panels look like. The C-Production body kit is what Tom Brennan had on the car he raced in the D-Production Championship in 1981. Frankly that is my favorite 924 shape. I would be interested, but that is a little too ambitious a project for me right at the moment.

This isn't the car, but it is the correct body.

Yeah, I finally joined after looking at the forum for the past six years. Since 98' I believe.
The body panels for the production c are for function as that is what they were designed for back in the 80's. They were made mainly for cars that raced in SCCA functions. They front fenders and air dam are replaced as well as fender flares are added to the rear.

Erich, PMed you back.

You can use that kit on the street since your ride height will be significantly higher than on of the 933 racecars. Just watch driveway aprons and speed bumps.

Somebody was selling a vintage holbert kit on Ebay a while back. IIRC, the rear flares were steel and welded in on the CP kit. I have a scan of the Holbert catalog page, but it is really big. If you want to see it I'll post it but bear in mind it might blow off the page a bit.

I am borrowing the holbert kit that was on ebay from the guy that bought it. Also going to be making a mold for the 924 gtr rear wing when I get it in a couple of weeks. It is bigger and deeper than the 944 rear wing.

BTW, it's D Production, not Production C. The 924s contested D Production.

Yep D production.....If not mistaken the CGT has the rear flares (fenders) open at the rear. The DP uses the small flares over the stock quarter panel wheel well. DP kits are already available through GT Racing. Dal

Me and the guy I am borrowing the kit from did alittle research and found it is actually a Production C kit. Same as on the car above. This is straight out of the Holbert catalog. http://members.rennlist.com/944sandmore/Holbert.htm
Production D has a spoiler in the front and fender flares coming off of the front fenders.
