The catalog is wrong. The 924 never raced in CP. In fact, the car in the photos is clearly marked D/P for D Production. Trivia anyway.

Are both kits Production D then? There are major differences in downforce between both kits. One has a front spoiler the other doesn't.

Both kits are for D Production (not Production D). Look at the photo I posted earlier. Both of those cars are racing in D Production. I know. I took the photo. In fact, the style of the bodywork has nothing to do with the classification.

And if anyone needs any corrections to Michael Cotton's sometimes silly mistakes, we'll be happy to take care of those also.

Hate to tell you George, but YOU are wrong. Holbert was the one who created the design for both body kits for the SCCA campaigns. HE called them C-Production and D-Production kit. The fact that both kits were raced only in D-Prod events is certainly relevant, and I have argued that fact in the past. However, the fact remains that Holbert, who came up with the kit, called the one on the first car a C-Production kit for street or race.

You've got a point there Manning. Holbert could call it anything he liked.

I knew I was right about something. Anyways what do you guys think of the kit and how much do you think I should sell it for? It includes the front fenders, air dam, and rear fender flares.

Would have been funny if he'd called it "Grouppe 6", huh?

Yeah, kind of like Pontiac calling a car the Le Man. What a joke.

Or worse..... Pontiac calling a car the GTO. I'll bet 99.9% of GTO owners don't even know what the letters stand for or what it means.

Try here. I have bought from AIR twice and had no problems with them shipping me oversized pieces from USA to New Zealand
