Obviously you haven’t driven a tip at the limits. In a 968 they are basically 2 speed transmissions. 2nd and 3rd. That will keep you in 3500-5000rpms +. Try it. You will spend your time Throttle steering and lifting to rotate the rear end instead of shifting. It might change your mind about tips. 968 cab tips are becoming rarer by the day and more desirable. The were less than 600 imported between ‘92-95.
