Okay, so its a shameless plug, but Dan did such a great job creating the ultimate Porsche party that I would be a fool NOT to capitalize on the reputation of the 944Fest name, and Dan DID give me permission to do so!

So maybe its not the "944Fest FARWest" event you were hoping for, but we are West of the original 944Fest and I thought it sounded better than "944Fest MidWest".

We are centrally located, and only about a 26 hour drive from you folks in LA... so whats the big deal? lol Jump in the car and check us out!

Bump! Hope y'all don't mind, but I *really* want to see some of you guys (and gals) again, and so I hope you will consider making the trek...

If you are coming and want to stay at the hotel with the rest of us, call Tan-Tar-A at 800-826-8272 and tell them you are with the KC Wrenching Society, and that will get you the group discount on the room. At this point, they *might* quote you $105 per night, but I have been talking with the reservations manager and have been assured that by the time we show it, you will be paying $99 per night.

Also, please help spread the word, we want to make this a good party, and everyone is welcome to attend! I'd hate to have to invite my Dad's Pontiac Fiero club buddies down to help fill the place up! On second thought, that would sort of be like shooting fish in a barrel, right? lol

As much as I'd love to go to 944fest next year, Ohio is a LONG-*** drive from CA. For a "west" gathering I'd say something like Albequerque or Denver or SLC or something would be far preferable. . .

We are really going to try to make it. I have a good friend (more or less the brother I never had) in the area that I haven't seen for 2 years. I've put him on the lookout in the Marshall, MO area of I-70. Hopefully he can meet up with us sometime over the weekend.
