I bought a Logitech Momo Force Feedback wheel and pedals and love it. I don't know how you could race with a keyboard. That has to be hard. I have a Logitech Wingman joystick that worked real well with the game. You can pick one of those up real cheap.

1: Rich S
2: Brad T
3: Jonathan "NeedPorscheSpeed"
4: Mike M (Pending - he hasn't confirmed)
5: Julian C "Rock"
6: Pete "944pete"
7: Serge S "Serge944" (version might not work)
8: Ashton P "Campeck"
9: Kurt P

Mike and Serge might not compete.. Mike needs to confirm with me and Serge and I will need to do a trial run to see if his version works.

I also have a few more tentative entries.. most likely we will do a qualifying race at a "to be determined" track.

Oh yeah, forgot to ask, any idea when this is going to start? I'm moving back to school on Sunday, and my wheel's already packed up.

I was thinking, in two weeks at the latest... but I'm cool with postponing it and doing a few practice sessions first.

Serge, I can't remember the default installation directory off the top of my head. I can't look because I haven't re-installed the game yet! (I'd better get on that, eh?)

BUT, here's a trick you can try... Normally you doubleclick the EXE to run an automatic install, however, the download cars.exe are actually WinZIP files!!!! UnZip them to the folder with all the other ~1.5MB CRP car files. Just do a search with explorer!

No, the cars only install when the game is installed in the default location. Since i have a dled version...the game files are simply in my own folder. Therefore, the new cars wont install and a message box appears "install directory cant be located."

Thats why im asking the exact location of the files so that the cars can be installed. Before my reformat, this solved my problem.

Thanks.

use Winzip to open the EXE files and extract the contents to the PU subfolder with all the 1.5MB car CRP files in it. That will work. I've done it that way before - I used to have the Warez version as well.

the game does not have to be in the default location... the reason it doesn't install properly w/ the warez version when you double click the EXE is because the warez version doesn't install a REG key in your registry. That is what the EXE uses to find PU - not a default directory.

use winzip to extract the cars. there is more than one way to skin a cat.
