Where does diverter valve vac line connect to?
I was cleaning up some things on the engine and noticed a vac hard line was broken. It appears to have been connected between the diverter valve and a small 2-plug device directly under the rear intake runner. The 951 vac diagrams I've seen show the diverter valve vac line going to the hard pipe on intercooler return. Can some one check theirs if they get a chance? Car seems to run fine with or without the connection.
Thanks-Steve

I thought that it ran to some of the lines running to the FPR and dampener, I could be wrong, maybe the small banjo between #3-4 runners where the line to the KLR connects. I rerouted mine.

Does the small u-shaped vac line on the dampener connect to anything? Mine never has since i bought it. There is a 3-way fitting just below the intake banjo bolt; those are all connected. One of those lines runs to another 3-way about 2 inches to the rear. One of the rubber ears on this 3-way seems to have a broken hard tube in it. Does the cycling valve have 2 fittings for hoses and is it directly under the rear intake runner? Sorry to sound so lame but the vac system on these things is a snakepit.
EDIT-I guess I'll use the vac diagram in the workshop manual. Looks like many of the lines are wrong from the PO, I'm surprised it runs so well.

Take a look at the vacuum diagram that is frequently posted on the turbo board (just do a search on vacuum diagram, it comes up a lot). The hose from the top of the diverter valve goes to one of the first of the two Y's you described. From there it should branch to the dampener (small cylindrical gizmo at the front of the fuel rail) and to another Y. It's a good idea to get the myswiss or lindsey kits and replace all of this stuff. The small two plug device under the rear intake runner sounds like the heating valve that is on top of a pipe through which coolant runs to the heater control valve. The plugs look like rabbit ears sticking out of the top side of the pipe. One of the two lines goes forward from here to the bottom of the AFM (there's a small nipple, you can reach under and feel it). The cycling valve is bolted to a bracket that is bolted to the spot where this pipe attaches to the block. There are no small hard lines (the plastic guys that swarm all over the engine bay) coming from the cycling valve.

KLR-Thanks for the great description. Between your info and the shop manual diagram (page 20-3) it looks like I have at least 3 lines that someone has rerouted. I'll buy the new silicon hose kit but need to pick up some new vac tubing today, I'm leaving on a trip down Hwy. 1 tomorrow. 132 miles of twisties all right on the edge of the World. Again, thanks everyone for the help.
