This was a really neat car - notice the speaker location, rear wheel flairs and pinstripe interior!

Is that Carrera GT the real thing? If not, it's a pretty darn good reproduction of the real deal.
The giveaway would be the front window moulding. I can't tell if it is flush-mounted from the photos. Is it?
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.

look at the front fenders of the CGT...they flare...then flare again!!!
they come out like the 944 fenders...then where they are suposed to go down..they keep going out! that just looks awesome!
I'm not sure if he did it himself...but he might have because the pass. fender was doubled over or something.
but man.....I want to know how to do that...

I really really like the badging on the rear! Black on red looks very cool. HA, and that guy drives a Carrera GT! Gotta love being able to say that now a days!

It is a great way to make some more room when done right, often it looks like garbage.....

I don't think it's the real deal. It looks like it has 944 rear flares with CGT add-ons. I'm pretty confident the CGT had only the add-ons for flares. It also has 944 rear markers which would be wrong IIRC.
Still, damned nice. Look a that beautiful early dash. I haven't seen one so nice since they were new.
I really like how there is no gap around the front bumper. I like the "pushed-in" bumper look on the 944, but it leaves a huge gap.

Ready, fire, aim. Oops.

Great pictures Josh. I had a great time at the concours, and the CGT was one of my favorites, as was the factory Gulf Blue 1979 930 that was there. Supposedly the only one ever made in Gulf Blue.
