Default Couple questions after a long drive today.

I took the car out for about 100 miles today. It runs like a charm. Love it.
Heres the questions,
It was very hot today and the temp needle was the last white line, it ran great though, but everytime i shut it of and start it back up it idled a little rough for about 5-10 sec. Went to a frineds house and shut the car of for about 2 H came back to start it and everything was like normal.

Also every now and then when i take of from a complete stop it seems like the car jerkes forward, almost like its the first time i drive a stick. Only does it rarely.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Antonio

Vapor lock. No big deal. You just need to let it sit for a few minutes to purge the vapor out and it should run fine after that.

Can you elaborate on that a bit?

Is the car on it's original clutch?

Spend more time driving it.. I think it missed you.

Jerking like how? fuel starvation? Maybe the FPR is on it's way out?

well, its hard to explain but its jerks like it would do if you release the clutch to fast and it would die. Almost like if i dont know how to drive a stick. Hope that explains it a little better.

The jerking in first gear - were you running the A/C and normally don't? A/C is a huge hog of power. Mine lurches when the A/C is on too.
