JUST ONE?!?!

Actually Tifo, your car was almost there before you changed directions.
A) A '85.5-86 NA with a euro front bumper, 931 nose panel, S2/968 rear spoiler and 17" 3-pc. Fuchs in silver, Alpine white or Guards red. It would need to remain NA but a 3.0 liter sounds about right, maybe even increase the bore a little. Probably an S2 trans, with LSD of course.

B) As per Riff, a silver 924 C-GTS replica would be nice, but to do it my way I'd have to start with a 924S and convert the body. By starting with a 924S I'd already have the 2.5 to which a supercharger would be added. Trans undecided.

Both of there cars would need bigger brakes (undecided as to exact set-up) and suspension (would retain the T-bars and use helpers in the rear but again, undecided on most details). Interiors would include 2 race seats and roll bars but also full dash, door panels of some sort and lightweight carpet.

C)968 done up as a CS with M030, silver on black. maybe a few suspension upgrades but mostly a street car.

I have two similair ones.
One would be the 924 Turbo Carrera GT. With a different motor. I would put a turbocharged 968 motor in it along with a 951 tranny with a torsen limited slip.
Next would be a 944 with a Supercharged S2 Motor and 951 Tranny with torsen limited slip. That would be plenty.

This is a hard one isn't it, because I could go with the ***** out 951, or turbo 968, both of which greatly appeal to me, but instead I'll go for something a little off the beaten path.

Chasis: 924 sunroof delete car

Body: 931 Hood, 951 front end (fenders, euro bumper), 924 GTS Fenderflares on the back w/ euro rear bumper.

Paint: Atlas Grey

Wheels: Custom 17inch Fuchs 17x9 and 17x10 shod with Pilot Sport Cups (255's and 275's) Color matched w/ Atlas Grey centers and a polished lip.

Interior: Well i'm thinking of this as a dual purpose car, street / track, so it would be fairly stock looking, with addition of a custom roll bar, gt3 seats, and harnesses. Color, well that i'm not sure, I love the red carpet, but I think with atlas grey a nice black interior would be nice.

Suspension: If I had to use factory parts I would take from the 968 Turbo RS series of cars. If I could go custom I would be using one of the high end suspension systems, koklen sway bars, koklen rear end, charlie arms (or the like).

Weight: 2600 lbs

Motor: I sort of want to us the KISS method here w/ a 951 based motor, but if this is the crazy dream that I would like it to be, it would be 968 Turbo S motor, tuned for a few more ponies.

Gearbox: 968 Turbo S box.

Cost to build? My goodness I don't want to think about that....

Well from the responses here it seems that Porsche could build a run of 924 Carrera GT's with 3.0L power and sell quite a few. I'll take one too.
Actually I'll be happy with the car I have if I can stop the @#$%^&* oil leak.

Good stuff guys, good stuff.

Pete, describe the leakage. Have you had the car smoke-tested yet? If not, I highly recommend it. If you don't know of a shop that has the smoke tester to do it, describe the leak and maybe we can't track it down

I would take a 1994 968 Turbo S chassis and suspension- but with a 928S4 V8, and dual quad exhausts out the rear. Then, I would remove the out-of-place pop-up, bug-eye headlights, replacing them with a set of Boxster Litronic HIDs. The modification for this would only be at the front fenders- by cutting-off the front corner, since the Litronic HID outline is already the exact same shape. It would be a dark Cobalt Blue color, with Pumpkin orange leather throughout, trimmed with alot of brushed aluminum. I would keep the three-piece Turbo Cup alloys, but run them on 225-45-ZR18/F and 245-45-ZR18/R Michelin Pilot Sport SXXX tires. I would call this beast the 988S...

I have it tracked down to the ol pressure sender. I have a new crush washer for it, I just need to find a wrench to fit the thing. S2's are very cramped in that spot.

I just thought of the best car. Take a 944S2 with a 951 front bumper and a euro rear and put a 928 GTS motor in it. It may not fit but its always nice to dream. Also I have read about this 924S3 which would be really cool to have and fast too.

I'm too tired to think right now, but I'm sure I'd have something along the lines of a 924 GT body and 951S powertrain and running gear.

Oh, and dan87whatever... my brother has those speakers in your avatar.

Body: Electric Blue late 924S, vented 931 nose panel, euro bumpers,
Suspension: M030 with coil overs all the way around
Interior: late 944 with bare neccesity power stuff, cage or at least a roll bar.
Motor: turbocharged 16V 3.0L (drop about 350-400HP to the wheels)
Drivetrain: S2 LSD
Wheels: Not really into wheels but 968 rims in silver

Now that I'm done dreaming back to reality where all I have are a busted 944S2 and an early 924.
