Oh yeah, BTW - it could be a part of another package, since you dont list the rest of the options.

I designed the thread, so I get the $25/hour
Can you tell by looking at the phonedials? If they have the inset or not? If an 88 951 didnt have abs would it still be a "late offset" wheel type?

All cars, starting with, MY1987 had the late offset to accomodate ABS. To be honest it was my understanding that all 951s starting in MY 1988 had ABS, it was only an option in 1987.
EDIT: It WAS and option in 1988 as well. IIRC, the accumulator for the ABS unit is behind the passenger side fender guard. I have to tell you, Pete's idea will work just as well.

Couldnt you ALSO just look for the fuse? You can lift the fuse box up & look for the ABS fuse #, then, look for the fuse in that slot- since it is an '88, it should DEFINATELY have a # slot FOR ABS, regardless of whether or not it actually HAS ABS AND a fuse- IF there IS a fuse there, then, you have ABS- the easiest & safest way is to find a big spot of grass or wet area, etc & hit the brakes hard- this will allow you to lose traction much more easily than having to run high speeds- as for the 90mph thing- this can be very dangerous- IF one of your calipers locks tighter/earlier than another one, you COULD spin, especially w/OUT ABS- someone on this board recently had a similar thing happen- I say this only b/c you more than likely (judging by your intial question) haven't drivne this car TOO terribly much, otherwise, you would eventually find out if it has ABS by accident- it's just odds- even in a smaller city, I doubt you'd be able to go more than a year w/out having to invoke the ABS (or locking the tires) at least ONCE.... I've hit mine quite a few times... As soon as I get some brake pads that are capable of actually locking up my wheels (FU**ING Axxis MM's) I plan to do a few tests by removing the ABS fuse, defeating the system, to find out how much it really helps a short stop.... anyway....

1) There is a control module under the passenger floorboard (with the DME and KLR, in that area).
2) There is an ABS relay under the fuse block cover. If I am looking at the diagram right it is the top right hand relay. P/N 89-7142
3) It has wheel speed sensors plugged in at every corner
4) It will have a Teves MC instead of a Girling MC.
Hope that helps at least a little.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong here, but could you just count the brake lines by the battery? If there are two and they disappear toward the right front wheel, there isn't any ABS. If there are 3 there should be an ABS pump in the fenderwell.
