I read here time and again that S2's did not have a rubber center clutch. I guess this finally answers that question.

Did you pull the motor specifically to do the clutch or were there more reasons?

Looks beautiful. Was the clutch job hard?

Your car looks like the better S2 version of mine.

944pete,

Yes, they do have rubber center clutches and yes, I dropped the engine to do the clutch.

Rock,
dropping the engine would have been easier if I had removed the alternator and radiator. Putting it back in was a snap with those two items out of the way.

The only 944s that came with the spring centered clutches stock were the Turbos and the Turbo S.

I just got my clutch out as well. Here's a few pics of mine.

The rubber was nowhere near as bad as airbops, but still starting to go, while i had the tranny out and getting it rebuilt It only makes sense to replace. Going with a spring centered one. All the stuff will be here from paragon on Thursday so I can hopefully finish up the job this weekend.

Aribop - is that a Spec clutch? If so do you have any inital impressions and can you tell us what components you bought?
