Default Does the cam tower gasket go on a certain way?

I just put the cam tower back on my 944 turbo. before i tightened it down I came inside and looked at clarks garage for torque and it said that the gasket goes on a certain way because it will block the oil passages. i specifically looked for Top or Ober when I put the gasket on top of the head, but i didn't see it anywhere. I think it was a Pro performance gasket. On side had the logo on it and the other side was blank. i put the logo side facing up. I havn't torqued it down yet. Should I pull it back off and double check?

for what it's worth, I've only removed one that I found installed backwards. The oil pressure blew a hole through the gasket and oiled it anyway.

Dang, I am about ready to start my car after installing new rings and you guys have me wondering.

The gasket was labeled Ober and I know it goes up, but I can't think for the life of me how I installed it

Man !!!! should go back in and check it ?????????????????

I never even realized that was printed on there. I just install 'em and check to make sure that the oil-hole lines up.

the early ones could be printed on the wrong side. Good thing we didn't know what oben was to begin with.

Ditto, pretty hard to install wrong.
