flamingeye, Dal is just yanking your chain.

Shipping shouldn't be too bad if you use the government postal services. This kit should be pretty light, pun intended, so smooth sailing. It is when you get up in weight that postal sucks on cost.

I can see you don't understand the American Judicial System. And just as well that you don't as it is a sad situation. You are a small fry in the UK, don't worry about it.

Thanks for the 4th well wishes.

My apologies to you I should have respected that you most likely have covered the shipping of your product to the US/ROW.

I replied based on the posts made and not one considered shipping so I thought well enough to bring that issue up. And if you read other topic posts "shipping" is a BIG issue here! Many do not consider a purchase here in the US based on shipping let alone Europe.

Like I said not trying to ruin your business just educate! Dal

What are the chances you can use multi-color LEDs in that kit? That way at the flip of a switch, we can pick from a variety of colors?

Im sorta interested in Danno's question also. I was gonig to ask you if its possible to swap the LED's for different colors easily...but after reading the instructions i saw it would just mean taking everything apart everytime your taste changed. I would defenetley like to see the red, and blue colors with white face gauges.

I dont even have a 944 yet (working on that part), but would defenetley buy the kit when i did get it (end of summer).

Leadfoot944, I will be taking a look at the other variants in the near future. As I have an s2 I was sorting out my own problem really! A bit selfish I know!
I need a donor dial cluster.
As far as white face dials go, I'll try and and accomodate your mods one day and get a pic sorted. You could live dangerously and try a set.
If you think that this existing set is too much cash, the colour changing leds would be hideously expensive. The majority are two colour such as
red/green (which would be lovely?) there are also some which will go from one spectrum to the other. These work on switching the voltage which you can add to the cost, also the big down side is the are usually in the low mcd range (not that bright) If there is a big enough market, then fine.
But it ain't
'the fast and the furious'!

As I have reached the stage of having to sort out my websites order page and having to write the prices in stone.

This is how it goes.

I will be selling the kit on my website for £100 ($186).

As I have already received some confirmed and some un-confirmed orders from you guys I will continue to take orders up until Sunday 18th July as part of the 'group buy' and now offer you the kit for the total sum of....

£75 ($140)

I hope this pleases some of you. I will be adding info to the order options page which may be worth looking at before you order.

Cheers
Darren

Default Rest of Dash Console

Flamingeye -

These are really impressive. Any chance you have come up with a way of illuminating the fan/temp dials in the same color - perhaps just a swap-out of the oem bulbs? Thanks -

In reply to Jeremy, this is something that I planned to do. Also, a couple of guys over here have asked the same question. Unfortunately, the answer is 'no' (I think?)
Basically, once you have taken off the fascia plate, there is one bulb which is in the 'speed' control which is exposed which you could change. (There is another the same if you take your oval dash fascia off above the centre vents, windscreen de-mist)
Back to the heater control, there is a clear plastic cover which is held on by about twelve lugs, this is also used as an optical to bounce the light around. There are another three bulbs under this.
The problem is that the clear plastic is very, very brittle and I can say 100 per cent certain this would smash into quite a few pieces during removal. Secondly, the three bulbs are soldered directly onto the board so not making any easy quick installment and this in my opinion would be asking to much of people to do.
So you would most likely break part of your dash, then have to snip out bulbs and solder in new ones etc. etc
Still never say never, there is always an alternative way to do things.
Sorry for rambling on!
