Wow, it's an NA! impressive! That seems like a great power increase for your work. Interesting that Porsche decided to install a turbo (etc) instead of doing similar things as you've done.

Thanks for that.
It's been a work in progress, which started in 1991 when I bought it originally.
The engine work was the idea of my brother , who is really the brains.
I really want 250hp in a NA then I can be happy I think.

@herdy44 : There's a thread on another forum (that RL won't let me link to, much less post the name) that may be of interest to you, if you haven't run across it yet. Michael Mount is documenting some of the work he has done to really get a lot of power out of these NA engines.

If you PM me, I can share the link (I think).

Cheers

What did you do for CoP conversion? What coils specifically. Asking for myself and my future CoP conversion on MS.

@walfreyydo : In my Amazon list for my cars, I have this saved as a recommended CoP for the 16V: NGK U5015 (48978) Coil-On-Plug Ignition Coil

Cheers

I have NGK U5015 COPs fitted - the same as Zirconocene has added above.

I bought the Vems standalone ECU and cop package ( already pre wired for fitment)from peeps in Estonia.

it was a pain to set up , even with auto tune etc , and I couldn't manage it myself. I had to find the only tuner in UK I could find who would touch VEMS.
Luckily I'm happy with it now , but would always go for a different setup now that's more widely available here in UK.

"My car is running at 237hp at the moment compared to the S2's 211hp, so maybe I can match those times."

Curious why you haven't made any 0-60 (or other similar speed) runs to see how your car compares?
Shouldn't be difficult to find out.

Porsche 944 S2 0-60 and acceleration in miles per hour

0-10 mph 0.9 s
0-20 mph 1.6 s
0-30 mph 2.3 s
0-40 mph 3.2 s
0-50 mph 4.4 s
0-60 mph 6.4 s
0-70 mph 9.2 s
0-80 mph 13.2 s
0-90 mph 17.8 s
0-100 mph 22.4 s
0-110 mph 26.6 s
0-120 mph 29.8 s

I've done some runs over the years 0-60 times , with watches etc, and times that are nothing to write home about , but I've just looked on my iPhone and there are numerous 0-60 apps , so I will give one of them a go. They may be a bit more accurate.

If results are crap though , I'll be keeping them a secret 😃
