Default Got a wave from a 911

Was at the gas station parking lot and saw a nice black 911. He did not see me when he got in, but as he crossed the parking lot got a nice wave and a thumbs up.

Eh, 911 owners rarely wave to me. They just give me the NARP look. 944 and 928 owners usually do though.

oooh those stuck up douches sometimes don't waive either..especially the 996 owners..see..most of them don't know crap about racing and just bough it for/esteem/prestige/image....I have fun beating them though.....I wonder how I would do against a 996 turbo....I know the X50 and X55 would take me..but the regular package 450 bhp 996 turbo..I think it might have me right off the line(4wd traction) but I will cathch him.......anyway..one thing any sports car driver repects...power...and what better way to get repect from the NARP's
944 4ever!!!

Here in SoCal ...
Boxters ... dim a dozen ( throw a brick and you'll hit one )
911 rare but prevelant

I'll usually see one ( in theslow lane ) and pull up with a Rev and a wave and maybe a Peace sign out the window. Sometimes that gets there right foot a little heavy.

I find that if I am not overt in my actions that they don't even realize that another Porsche is there... some probably don't even know that their car was made in Germany...... true, is it not...

I always like to get a little run outa other P-Cars, breaks up the monotany of driving as much as I do.

I wave to every Porsche I see and enjoy the responses I get. If they don't wave back, it's their problem. Waved at a Cayenne last week and got a really confused look in response. And yes, sometimes I wave at Porsches from my Civic which really confuses them. (So if you have your 944 in Wisconsin, and a Civic waves at you, it's probably me!)

MOST 996 and Boxster owners have no clue about the wave. Screw em! They'll be trading in their cars in 2 years for the next flavor of the week.

Most 911SC and Carrera owners DO wave. I guess anyone who owns a 20-year old Porsche is an enthusiast, rather than a poser.

I find that the Porsche wave is a dying phenomenon. Having owned a few Corvettes prior to my current 951, I found that the other Vette owners would almost always wave, model year notwithstanding.

The drivers of the latest Porsche models seem to have no clue. For that matter, I rarely get the wave from any Porsche driver these days.

Let's do our best to keep the wave alive.

It's true, there is an older black 911 (possibly 930) that I see around town here, it is absolutely GORGEOUS. 75% of the time, the guy beats me to a wave or flash of the headlights, opposed to the new black 911 which just drives by and stares. However i did get acknowledged by a 993 TTs yesterday, that was fun.

Wonder if Seinfeld would wave if he was passing by in one of his many cool Porsches?

He definitely would. What's often overlooked by us Porsche owners, regardless of model, is that while driving and paying attention to the road, you don't always notice another Porsche.
