Default Rennbay seat covers

I'm starting the restore on my 944. I would like to get the interior in better shape. I need to find the arm rest, the hinge is fine. I have the linen interior. Do any of you have experience with the Rennbay seat covers? I would also like to know if you have any source where I can find new carpet. Any help is appreciated. Trevor

I have a set of Rennbay seat covers but I haven't installed them yet. I'll probably put them on in a week or so. I'll post my thoughts after I get them on.
World Upholstery ( www.worlduph.com ) sells the carpet. I haven't personally bought them but I did buy a seat upholstery set from them before and it was of the highest quality.

I purchased the Rennbay seat cover kit as well. I haven't installed them yet, but I was VERY impressed with them when they arrived. The material is grade A and the stitching looks excellent. I hope to get them on soon and post some pictures and a review.

Thanks for the replies. It would be nice to see them in the linen color. Good luck with your installations.

I took my seats to a local upholstery guy and he did a great job, quick and relatively cheap.

Also ordered carpet from Original Fit Interiors. They advertise in Excellence and were about $250. Great product, easy to install.

Arm rests can be purchased from Performance Products for about $110 for vinyl and $120 for leather. I recovered mine, came out great.

Good luck.

For the armrest I'm planning to cut a piece out of the backside of the old seatback material and cover it with that.

Buy from Rennnay - best seat cover material and service. Getting around to installing them shortly into my 968Cab. Travis was extremely helpful in selecting the right color, material, and even customizing them for me with black piping on the light grey covers. They look awesome.

944pete....

Damn awesome idea, armrest and and that pad on the cassette holder thing. I may pull the leather off my extra set of seats to do that.

Well if I ever get this thing running right...lol

That's a great idea, after I refinish my extra black one (armrest) who wants it, but before I do, I want to tell ya'll that the original hinge is broken and I'm replacing it with some home depot hinges.

check out my post on arm rest repair.....before I had mine recovered I asked the guy to put in a thin piece (1/8") stainless steel to go under the foam before the upholstery.....I kept breaking the lids in the center by using my elbow when I got in.....he redid mine that way and it looks brand new and it is strong if you lean on it.....cost me $80 bucks though but I'll never have to worry about it cracking again....

Has anyone actually seen Rennbay covers installed?

On their web site they show install instructions, but the end result pictures show wrinkles. Testimonials say the wrinkles go away over time, but has anyone on this sight actually installed and seen the wrinkles disappear.

Travis, as I an hesitant, maybe you should add some before, after, and after-wrinkle pictures.

Thanks in advance.
