Talking Nice E-Bay Find - Don't Tell The Wife :-)

I saw this go cheaper from another seller recently but I missed out on that one. It wasn't exactly cheap, but under $10 so I'm OK with that.

Nice addition to the collection!

Cory, you're a true connoisseur I used to love looking through boxes of old 80s car magazines and pulling out the accessory/tire adds that featured our cars. There were a lot more of these adds than I ever realized. 944s were really popular back in their day!

they are trying to say that it's not important how fast you take getting from "a to b", but rather than how it feels to getting there. this, i agree. driving the 944 is a pleasure all in and of itself; + they are using 'understatment' as a marketing tool. i've never seen an advert for SCCA cars. then again, I have seen few 944 ads.

Because Porsche is lost (perhaps they should try Hari Krishna? ).

Porsche is run by MBAs instead of engineers and racers. The management of Porsche would be just as happy selling refrigertators as premium sports cars (and of course trucks ).

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong. But it sure seems to me that Porsche is playing off their past success. This weekend was a prime example. ****, so Porsche won their class? No disrespect to the privateer teams, including TRG, but they need to be winning overall. But, management thinks they can sell all the cars they build because twenty years ago they used to win overall all the time. Now they build trucks....

It used to be that Porsche raced every car they made. That changed with the 928, but I can forgive them that. But where is the last place you saw a Boxter racing besides PCA? Or how about a Cayanne? Shoot, they should build race winning cars again and promote the Cayanne as the best way to transport your race winning Porsche. Now that would be a campaign!

Uh, OK, rant over.

Run the pepper in the Paris-Dakkar. Or the Baja 1000. Or both.
