Were they giving joyrides or what? I must have saw that thing go up and down the street 30 times.
Never saw it move, wish I had known if they were, the Turbos looked REAL good.

Sign said 944GTR and I can find references to it. I think it was too late a car to be a 924 CGT R.
One thing is for sure, the next NA I have is going to look like that.

Thanks! The only thing that sucks is having to save them in such poor quality to post them here. One of these days I will take the time to build my own website and host them there.

Good job Mike and Matt on those pics. I just now got home from Tweeks, having left Effingham at 2:00 p.m. CST and having arrived at 10:00 p.m. CST, as it was a 450 mile trip with a few stops along the way. Mike, you would be very happy to know that today, not one, but two 944s were given awards! One went to a guards red/linen leather '89 S2 that was outstanding condition and the other to a 1987 951 that appeared to be the same color as yours, Kalahari Gold Metallic. The 1987 951 received its balloon from the one-and-only Bob Ingram, himself. Not only does Mr. Ingram have an amazing collection of Porsches (and Ferraris), but he is one of the kindest human beings I have ever met. What a class act!
I also have some pictures, and I will post a few of them soon. I am so exhausted right now that I can't think straight, so it is time to jump in the sack.
Mike, I enjoyed talking to you and your father, and I still can't get that digital boost gauge out of my head! I'm sorry you didn't get to make the rally. Matt, it was great meeting you and your wife; I think when I'm 60 (now 28), I still won't have the level of knowledge that you have about the 951. Amazing! Lee L., I hope to join the 968 club soon, and by the way, I'm still not in Denver! At the road rally, I was two cars in front of you, separated by that silver late 60s 911. I kept swerving over to the right and left just to keep your car's beautiful fascia in my view! Nick G, it was a pleasure talking to you and your wife after the road rally, and driving behind you during the rally, until, of course, I got caught by the red light, and then got lost. That'll teach me to not look at the map before a rally... However, where was the police escort at that time!? Hey, I still had fun trying to catch back up with the group!
