I drove over to the Funfest for Porsche put on by Tweeks today. I only got to spend today there, but it's also going on tomorrow. I didn't get to stay for the fun drive, but I snapped a few photos of what I saw. I was very surprised to see a Garrera GT and 959 greet me upon entering the museum! Very impressive in person. the CGT was on loan from PCNA, and the 959 was from a private collection. There was a nice showing of 924/944/968 cars, but I was less than pleased to see that NONE of them were awarded by the "celebrity" judges. It's not that I think I deserved an award for my car, but there were some very nice wasserpumpers, and the judges made it clear that they didn't care for them. Chris, the CGT is not Mike's. The sign in front of it states that it's on loan from PCNA. I went back and forth about the Taj event, but Tweeks has been sort of a tradition for me. I plan on going to the 944 fest next month though, so I should meet up with you Ohio guys then. I'll second the congrats to UD and Pete. Always nice to see the waterpumpers getting respect. Looking forward to more pics from the Taj.

 

Mike, thanks for sharing those pics with us. They brought back memories since I've only been to Tweeks twice. First time was the last they held it in Indy, second time was the first in Effingham, IL.

It's hard to not like it better in Effingham, with the great facility they have there, including that wonderful museum!

 

I have a bunch of them if someone would upload them. I dont have the time/desire to sit here and resize them all to fit within the max allowable size nor upload one at a time.
