That's just wrong. You actually think that thing has any salvageable value to it?!?!
I'd find the obviously undeserving P.O. and drop it in his front lawn so he'd have to look at it every day and remind him of the horrible abuse he inflicted!

Did those parts sit outside or did the motor look like that when you cracked it open? If the latter, then I don't know what to say. Surely the wrong type of coolant (salt water?) could cause corrosion like that in the coolant passages, but in the combustion chamber too? WTF?

The motor was like that when I cracked it open. I felt the 1/2 inch breaker bar bend before I quit trying to crank it over by the crank pulley. There were spider webs inside the combustion chamber before I wd40 it. I would imagine that motor was sitting with no plugs in it for many years. There was no coolant but does have oil in it. The problem now is trying to get the flex plate off the back of the engine without being able to turn the engine over to get to all the bolts....
