Welcome to the forum! What sort of upgrades are you interested in? The common things owners add are sport seats or a raised hub steering wheel or even an aftermarket steering wheel or stereo There's really not a lot to upgrade in a 944. The early interior and dash are beautiful in my opinion and when I had an early car, I replaced the front and rear seats with Porsche script seats. I fixed all of the broken trim and replaced the odometer drive gear, which had turned to dust. My car had the stock three spoke steering wheel which I liked a lot. It cleaned up well and it seemed as though people really liked the look of the script seats. My current 944, which is a later build 85, has all cloth script seats, which are marvelous.

I really wanted to look into after market options in terms of dash, I really love the stock dashboard however I just feel like something is missing there and seeing as the leather on my dash is as wrinkled as an old man I want to really just freshen up my car. I already have plans to get new seats, thought I am not sure what would match well with my burgundy interior.

At prices commensurate with the value of your car, there really aren't any dash options that I know of. You might find something at https://werk924.com/
Don't let the name through you off. They have 944 stuff. I think they make a reproduction dash for the 944. Not cheap. Drop them an email. They have some really cool period correct fabric offerings.

previous owner reupholstered the front seats in vinyl about 2 years ago and I just had my first rip appear so it’s prob gonna need to be addressed sooner than later. The vinyl actually looks much better than the factory pinstripe in my opinion. I see a lot of custom leather jobs that end up looking funky when finished so I’m cautious about my next move whatever it may be. Everyone is all about the Pascha right not but I’m kinda feeling brown houndstooth inserts but the chocolate goes great with the alpine white. Thoughts?

In regards to your seats, it's honestly best to go with what you like the best. I think brown houndstooth would look great with an Alpine White exterior personally. I agree that the three spoke steering wheel is very nice. I like the way it looks and feels and think it has a great vintage design. My late 85 has the two bar rectangular center steering wheel. Its nice as well and i have a raised hub version on the shelf if I ever wanted to use it. The dash can be reupholstered and there have been a lot of threads about doing so over the years. Porsche was making new dashboards as well. Worth every penny in my opinion.
