so i did not want to pay for new wires so i went to Jegs and bought a MSD make your own wire kit for a V8 (so i could make 2) for about $70 and made these you need the strait plug ends and the points kit not the HEI. i will test them on my 951 on wens when i get my new coil. tell me what you think.

Kingsborne will make you a new set of just stock wires for less than $30.

www.kingsborne.com

These screw into the stock ends. Colors too.

Hell, if I find the ends cheap enough I'll be making a whole bunch of them.

I bought a set of accel 8mm universals for $30 and coil while I was at it. Coil seems to work fine but the wires are going to end up on my truck unless I can find some cheap ends that match the cap.

Makes me wonder if the $15 caps have the same sized ends on them.

ok shutemup im a little smarter than that i brought a cap to jegs and found ones that fit so every thing does fit i just have not put them on the car. the way it fits is you use the HEI metal clip in the points boot for the cap and it snaps right on. and i used the black grommet thing from a old set i had to seal around the head. so they do fit great and should work great i just have not put them on the car.

I wish I had a Jegs or Summit local, that would be sweet!.

What's the MSD part number?

Sorry they looked like regular ends in the pic.

I run off-the-shelf Magnecores for our cars for under $50, they're the fastest wire I've found.

I have the Magencor KV85 wires, seem to do the job so far, I had Kingsborne before that, they are a little cheaply made IMO.

ill look for the part # tomorrow and post it here, i have not seen the magnecores but sounds like a good deal to and you don't have to put them together like i did, but that was easy anyway.

Hopefully the link works, but yes, under $50, even with recent price increases.

I got mine from magnecor themselves. Speed6 sells them also, (rennlist sponsor?) but they are dearer. I did not have the fitment issues some complained of with my set either...
